Euthanasia services
We offer in-clinic and in-home euthanasia services, whether for your small or large animal companions. These look vastly different depending on client and patient needs.
Our in -clinic euthanasias are typically done in our exam rooms, outside or in your vehicle. We do our very best to accommodate for client and patient needs and wants.
In-home euthanasias are often done wherever your companion is most comfortable- a living room, a yard or in their favorite spot. We have also met families at parks or other locations.
We recommend calling to discuss any questions you have and to schedule as soon as you can. The more preparation time we have the better we can assist in this challenging time.
The charging for this services is a flat fee that is weight-based.
Canine in-clinic euthanasias are $125-200
Canine in-home euthanasias are $225-300
Feline in-clinic euthanasias are $125

Equine at home euthanasias are $400
We can also help after your pet passes. We offer private cremation (ashes back), communal cremation (ashes spread), take home for burial or general disposal (we dispose). Cremation options are also weight-based.
Private cremation ranges from $200-325 for small animals
Communal cremation ranges from $120-225 for small animals
Large animal general disposal is $300
Small animal general disposal is $65
Hospice and palliative care services
Did you know we offer hospice and palliative care services for dogs and cats as well? We know that deciding to pursue hospice or palliative care can be hard. We’re glad to partner with you and support you and your pet in these services, if they’re the right fit for you.
Many of our families are familiar with hospice or palliative care in a human setting. Things can look a little different with our pets, so we want to start by talking more about hospice and palliative care with animals:
What is animal hospice? Animal hospice addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of animals in the advanced stages of a progressive, life-limiting illness or disability. This is care we give when we think the end of life is near. Hospice care often involves pain and mobility management, help with nutrition, help with hygiene/grooming care, and planning for passing/end-of-life.
What is palliative care? Palliative care is treatment that supports or improves the patient’s quality of life (QOL) by relieving suffering when treating curable or chronic conditions. This can be part of hospice/end-of-life care, or part of curative treatment. A pet receiving palliative care may not be expected to pass away soon. For example, a dog with a torn ligament in its knee who is unable to have surgery to fix it, so instead needs pain management, weight control, exercise, and pain medications. Or that same dog who needs those things until he can have surgery next month. Those are forms of palliative care.
Any of our doctors are available to talk to you about hospice and palliative care. As of December of 2025, our very own Dr. Sami Thomas also sees patients specifically for hospice and palliative care. Soon, she will be certified in this work through the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC).
What happens if I want to do hospice or palliative care for my pet?
To make an appointment for hospice or palliative care, just call us at 406-846-1925. All you have to do is let us know you’d like to schedule this kind of visit and the team will help you from there. If you are uncomfortable calling, you can text that number instead.
Dr. Thomas likes to do hospice and palliative care work in your home and we will ask you about that when scheduling. This lets her see your pet’s day-to-day life more clearly, so she can help the most.
The first visit will be quite long – up to 90minutes. During this visit, Dr. Thomas will listen to everything that is going on with your pet and your concerns. You’ll work together to make a hospice or palliative care plan that is right for you and your pet. After the first visit, Dr. Thomas or her team will be following-up as often as necessary to continue to help. This looks very different depending on the situation. For example, we may communicate by phone a few times a month, or Dr. Thomas may need to come see your pet. It all depends on what is going on and the plan you make together.
What if I’m not sure? It’s normal to feel unsure. We have lots of resources and information available to help. You can also schedule a phone consultation with Dr. Thomas where you can learn more about what options are available and what might be the best fit for you and your pet. The phone consultation lasts up to 30 minutes and costs $65.
What about when it’s “time?” Making a plan for end-of-life and passing is a common part of most hospice and palliative care plans. This is something Dr. Thomas will absolutely help with. We understand and respect that families often have specific beliefs around end of life. We’re here to help, whether that means through a loving euthanasia or a more natural passing. If euthanasia is the right choice for you and your pet, we are committed to providing a kind and loving passing in that way. We can help with cremation and other services as well.

This includes an exam, 1-2 hours of time with Dr. Thomas, creation of a personalized treatment plan, and creation of a personalized Comfort Kit (medications to have on-hand at home).
In-clinic Visits- 2+ : $131.50
